The dactur brood is a zerg faction that is rarely seen and there known color is black.
they were encountered by a small group of humans when the terrans first colonized the koprulu sector and the colonies lost contact with them.
Upon meeting the protoss in combat the dactur brood went back into hiding.
While in hiding they created two Mixed units: The hawkalisk and the dragalisk and they later appeared after the death of the overmind and attacked several protoss colonies and went back into hiding again after they destroyed a few colonies.
The dactur brood is not lead by a cerebrate. they are led by a mysterious zerg creature who is known only as "The viper" and his special version of the overlord called warlords.
